What is TBFS?
The Black Film Summit is at its core a celebration of Pan African achievement in the cinematic arts. TBFS is not a film festival just for Black people, but an event for all people who want to come together out of love of film and the culture.

Join us March 20-23, 2024 at the NIU Naperville Conference Center for The Black Film Summit. This is the 3rd year of TBFS and as we continue to learn and grow as a festival there is no doubt, this is the place to be to kick off spring! TBFS is committed to bringing you great films and growing into the best fest in the Midwest.

TBFS offers several awards of achievement. Join us after the films have ended to find out who are the recipients of The Black Film Summit Awards 2024. Awards include; Best Feature & Short Films, Best Performances & Ensembles, Best Documentary, Best Student (Undegraduate and Graduate) Film.
